TL;DR
Schedule Analyst, Journeyman (Microsoft Project/Program Scheduling): Developing and maintaining integrated project schedules for complex Department of Defense acquisition programs with an accent on schedule integration, critical-path analysis, variance reporting, and resource leveling. Focus on building baselined Integrated Master Schedules, analyzing schedule health and change impacts, and coordinating status updates with multiple stakeholders.

Location: Onsite in St. Inigoes, Maryland, United States

Salary: $70,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain multiple project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Integrate project and vendor schedules into a single master schedule.
  • Develop Work Breakdown Structures, Integrated Master Plans, baselines, metrics reports, and trend charts.
  • Analyze critical and near-critical paths, schedule variances, progress against plan, resource loading, and schedule health.
  • Assess scope changes, change orders, and schedule deviations for impact.
  • Lead schedule development and status-update meetings with project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Three to nine years of experience developing and maintaining project schedules, including at least two years in project or program analysis of complex systems in a Department of Defense acquisition environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project for task and milestone management, dependencies, baselines, status updates, float analysis, critical paths, and schedule metrics.
  • Experience comparable to a scheduler supporting NAVAIR, with basic knowledge of the NAVAIR organization and acquisition process.
  • Experience with engineering, testing and evaluation, software development, acquisition, procurement, or logistics projects.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, communication, customer-relations, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret Security Clearance are required; eligibility to complete a full government background investigation is required.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline or equivalent applicable experience.
  • OnePager Pro proficiency or experience.
  • DAU Level II certification, PMI-SP, Microsoft Scheduling Certificate, or PMP.
  • Earned Value Management training or experience.
  • Project Management Office experience.
