Master Scheduler (Satellite)

Location: On-site in Long Beach, California, United States, with occasional travel to suppliers or partner sites.

Salary: $129,301–$155,161 USD per year.

What you will do

• Develop, baseline, and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule across satellite subsystems and program phases.
• Create credible, bottoms-up proposal schedules tied to the work breakdown structure and basis of estimate.
• Lead weekly schedule status meetings, track engineering commitments, and report deviations to program leadership.
• Perform critical path analysis, schedule margin tracking, variance analysis, and near-term look-ahead reporting.
• Identify schedule risks and opportunities, coordinate mitigation planning, and integrate long-lead hardware and vendor schedules.
• Support PDR, CDR, and MRR program reviews while standardizing scheduling processes and proposal templates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules for hardware development programs.
• Proficiency with Smartsheet or Microsoft Project.
• Experience developing proposal schedules and running schedule-status cadences with engineering teams.
• Strong critical path analysis and schedule risk assessment skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Long Beach and comply with U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• PMP or PMI-SP certification and experience with Earned Value Management Systems.
• Experience with aerospace, defense, or spacecraft hardware programs.
• Familiarity with satellite subsystems such as avionics, structures, propulsion, thermal, and power.
• Experience with Safran or Oracle Risk Analysis.
• Experience building scheduling processes at an early-stage or scaling aerospace company.
