Commercial Lines Senior Casualty Placement Consultant

Location: Fully remote for candidates located in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, or Nebraska

Salary: $130,000–$145,000 annually, plus a target bonus incentive of 10%

What you will do

• Provide expert technical support to Commercial Lines Account Management and Sales Executive teams.
• Analyze, design, market, price, and place complex casualty risks for clients.
• Assess contractual liabilities and insurance policy alignment, then recommend improvements.
• Recognize trends and create client-facing summaries modeling policy options.
• Support prospective-client proposals and negotiate underwriting terms and pricing with carrier partners.
• Develop loss control strategies with claims and risk control teams, while supporting recruiting, training, and department policy development.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Commercial Lines agency or carrier experience, including strong underwriting, marketing, and technical insurance expertise.
• At least 3 years of placement or marketing experience with large commercial accounts carrying $1M or more in annual premiums.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a Property & Casualty insurance license.
• Deep knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, markets, and underwriting principles.
• Strong business acumen, negotiation, analytical, data interpretation, written communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; ARM, CIC, or CPCU designation preferred. Familiarity with internet-based applications and Microsoft Office required.

• Experience with Sagitta and/or ImageRight.
• Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, or CPCU.
