Senior L&H Reinsurance Consultant (Life & Health)

Location: Armonk, New York, US, or Fort Wayne, Indiana, US; hybrid work with office attendance three days per week.

Salary: $128,000–$192,000 base in Armonk, NY; $120,000–$180,000 base in Fort Wayne, IN.

What you will do

• Lead transformation initiatives from strategic framing through execution and benefits realization.
• Translate complex business challenges into problem statements, solution approaches, and measurable initiatives.
• Drive financial stewardship, milestone planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
• Partner with Life & Health business leaders, market units, governance forums, and Data & Tech teams.
• Embed improved capabilities across underwriting, claims, in-force management, and operations.
• Strengthen project, program, and portfolio management standards across the Life & Health business.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in management consulting, professional services, or transformation and project leadership in insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience leading complex end-to-end transformations and cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of project and change methodologies, including Agile, Lean, Waterfall, change management, or process engineering.
• Ability to bridge strategy and execution through problem structuring, data analysis, process design, and decision-ready materials.
• Business case development, benefits tracking, financial analysis, and translation of recommendations into measurable outcomes.
• Must work from the US office three days per week; visa sponsorship, visa transfers, visa extensions, and relocation support are not available.

Nice to have

• Life & Health reinsurance expertise or experience in underwriting, claims, operations, or other financial services.
• Operating model design and implementation experience.
• Experience delivering AI or advanced analytics initiatives in financial services.
• Lean Six Sigma or process excellence experience.
• PMP, PRINCE2, PROSCI, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or Lean Six Sigma certification.
