Technical Illustrator Associate (Defense)

Salary: $51,400–$79,200 per year

What you will do

• Analyze new products and design changes to determine technical manual requirements.
• Write, edit, revise, and update electronic parts lists and related technical publications for print and digital media.
• Retrieve, orient, and explode individual components using software, then prepare files for illustration tools.
• Upload manuals into Windchill and create Change Notices to release documentation to Online Express.
• Maintain documentation schedules, style standards, and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, service, marketing, and external suppliers on technical publication requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six years.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and engineering design and manufacturing documentation.
• Ability to understand bills of material and the Change Notice process.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and self-management skills.
• Ability to work primarily in a professional office environment with extended periods of sitting and computer use.

Nice to have

• Experience with PTC Illustrate, PTC IsoDraw, PTC Windchill, PTC Arbortext, PTC SIM, Creo Parametric, PowerPoint, or SharePoint.
• Experience with CAD, illustration, or graphics artwork.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience communicating effectively with internal and external customers.
