What you will do

• Lead a research project investigating the mechanisms of schizophrenia.
• Identify abnormal neuronal circuits and cell biological and molecular mechanisms linked to rare copy number variations with high genetic risk for schizophrenia.
• Conduct research using mouse, rat, and human models.
• Study neural circuits, individual neurons, synapses, molecules, and psychotic behavior.
• Use electrophysiology, 2-photon imaging, molecular techniques, and related neuroscience methods.
• Collaborate with a diverse team and use departmental resources for animal behavior, engineered animal models, human brain organoids, imaging, single-cell profiling, and bioinformatics.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field is preferred.
• Strong background in cell biology.
• Experience with in vivo or slice electrophysiology.
• Experience with 2-photon imaging of head-fixed animals.
• Experience with molecular techniques.
• Strong communication skills.
