Salary: $65,589–$75,569 per year, based on postdoctoral experience.

What you will do

• Investigate the mechanisms and rules of sarcomere assembly and function.
• Use human pluripotent stem cell technology and differentiation approaches.
• Apply advanced structural biology, imaging, and protein-protein interaction methods.
• Develop and use three-dimensional organoid and microtissue assays.
• Apply genome editing, proteomics, and multi-omics assays to study inherited heart failure and muscle disorders.
• Collaborate independently and effectively with scientists across a trans-continental research consortium.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
• Research experience in at least two of the following: pluripotent stem cell biology and differentiation, advanced microscopy, genome editing, and proteomics.
• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with R, Python, or a similar statistical package is helpful, as is experience with proteomics data analysis and bioinformatics.
