Salary: $65,589–$75,569 per year, based on postdoctoral experience

What you will do

• Plan, develop, execute, and analyze an independent research project.
• Investigate hematopoietic stem cell aging and changes in the bone marrow microenvironment.
• Study clonal hematopoiesis, epigenetic regulator mutations, and their links to aging-associated diseases.
• Research the progression of clonal hematopoiesis to myelodysplastic syndrome and acute myeloid leukemia.
• Prepare manuscripts, fellowship applications, and conference presentations.
• Mentor junior laboratory members and contribute to collaborative research.

Requirements

• M.D. or Ph.D. in biological sciences or a related field.
• At least one first-author publication from graduate research.
• Strong foundational training in molecular and cell biology.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in hematopoiesis, stem cell biology, aging, or immunology.
• Training in epigenetics or chromatin biology.
• Experience with mouse HSC experimental techniques.
• Experience with CRISPR-based approaches, including primary-cell gene editing, sgRNA design, or lentiviral delivery.
• Computational biology or bioinformatics experience.
