Salary: $65,589–$75,569 per year, based on postdoctoral experience.

What you will do

• Investigate mechanisms that trigger sickle cell disease crises and explain heterogeneity in disease severity.
• Develop mouse models that reproduce the range of disease phenotypes observed in patients.
• Analyze data generated from patients with sickle cell disease.
• Integrate genetics, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics to identify systemic and tissue-specific markers of disease progression.
• Apply CRISPR-based tools, single-cell multi-omics, and other advanced genomic technologies.
• Collaborate with internal laboratories, translational scientists, and clinicians.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or a related field.
• Strong training in molecular biology, cell biology, and next-generation sequencing technologies.
• At least one first-author publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
• Excellent scientific writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a productive interdisciplinary team.

Nice to have

• Experience in computational biology, genetic screens, and single-cell technologies.
• Early independence demonstrated through a scholars or equivalent research program.
