Undergrad Intern - Operations – Process Development (Biotech)

Location: Thousand Oaks, California, United States; the student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.

Salary: $28.87 per hour

What you will do

• Complete a lab-based process development project with support from a hiring manager.
• Conduct, document, analyze, and interpret experiments and research data.
• Translate experimental findings into meaningful, business-influencing outcomes.
• Communicate project methods and results clearly to the assigned team.
• Work in areas such as drug substance technologies, attribute sciences, manufacturing and clinical supply, digital strategy, drug product technologies, or combination product operations.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Currently enrolled full-time in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
• Expected to complete at least one year of study before the internship and remain enrolled afterward.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the program.
• Must be available for a full-time schedule and able to accept future full-time employment by July 2028 if offered.

Nice to have

• Coursework in biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
• One to three years of laboratory experience.
• Basic laboratory and data analysis skills, research ability, and the ability to learn new experimental methods.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects consecutively.
• Structured problem-solving, pragmatic scoping, objective evaluation of trade-offs, and development of executive-level recommendations.
