Chemist Intern (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite opportunities in the United States, including Houston and The Woodlands, Texas; Akron and Ashtabula, Ohio; Conroe, Freeport, and Houston Port, Texas; McIntosh, Alabama; Geismar, Louisiana; and Los Angeles, California.

What you will do

• Conduct laboratory synthesis, formulation, testing, and analytical work.
• Support new product development, technology projects, and process development activities.
• Perform literature reviews and technical research.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation while supporting safe laboratory operations and EHS programs.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Currently a junior, senior, or master's student.
• Demonstrated laboratory experience.
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience or academic focus in polyurethanes, performance products, advanced materials, polymer science, process development, or technical service and applications development.
