Director, Product Management (Insurance)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut, United States

Annual base salary: $120,400–$198,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage growth and profitability across multiple states, products, or lines of business.
• Direct complex analysis of business results, product refreshes, performance expectations, trends, and root causes.
• Develop and influence short- and long-term growth and profitability recommendations, incorporating regulatory and marketplace factors.
• Lead, coach, and guide teams and project initiatives.
• Present product, pricing, and new product recommendations to senior leadership and build consensus for implementation.
• Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives and align stakeholders for successful execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, mathematics, finance, actuarial science, economics, or a related analytics field.
• At least four years of experience in data analytics or similar work; six years in a mathematical, analytical, or data-related role is preferred.
• Strong data analysis skills, including interpreting trends and reporting insights and recommendations.
• Deep knowledge of pricing and actuarial techniques, including loss development and trending.
• Understanding of insurance products, processes, workflow, terminology, and their impact on profit and loss.
• Proven leadership, communication, change-management, and stakeholder-influence skills.
