Site Controller (Finance)

Location: Bolingbrook, Illinois, United States; onsite

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year

What you will do

• Partner with the VP of Finance and VP/GM to align financial strategy with business objectives and drive profitable growth.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, financial analysis, and strategic decision support.
• Oversee accounting operations, monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, SOX compliance, and external audit coordination.
• Manage cost accounting, including standard labor costs, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and cost-containment initiatives.
• Lead ERP enhancements and process improvements that strengthen reporting accuracy, workflow efficiency, and data integrity.
• Manage and develop the finance team, including a Staff Accountant and Accounting Clerk, through Crane’s Intellectual Capital process.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting standards, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Experience supporting a VP/GM or equivalent leader with P&L responsibility.
• Experience leading teams, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, managing priorities, and driving results.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; high integrity and commitment to ethical standards required.

• CPA or CMA certification.
• Master’s degree.
