What you will do

• Direct the mill’s accounting, financial management, and business planning activities.
• Oversee financial statements, transaction processing, payments, account reconciliations, collections, and compliance with financial policies and applicable laws.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, budgeting, profit forecasting, financial reporting, variance analysis, and scenario planning.
• Lead the capital expenditure process, including project financial analysis, Board of Directors submissions, and project cost tracking.
• Work with internal audit to resolve control findings and maintain effective key and significant controls.
• Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff while supporting succession planning and mill management decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• At least eight years of accounting management experience, including mill finance and operations knowledge.
• At least five years of supervisory management experience, including hiring, coaching, performance development, and corrective action.
• Working knowledge of standard accounting procedures, GAAP, financial controls, Word, Excel, and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, decision-making, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and training skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel as necessary.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA or CMA designation.
