Senior Corporate Operations Analyst (Accounting)

Location: Chicago, IL, United States; onsite full-time role

Salary: $104,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Oversee project accounting activities, including costing, revenue recognition, and work-in-progress accuracy.
• Lead month-end close deliverables and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial reports and disclosures in accordance with accounting policies and GAAP.
• Perform advanced financial analysis, investigate variances, and provide operational insights.
• Support audits, tax activities, risk mitigation, and remediation of control gaps.
• Improve accounting processes, ERP usage, data integrity, and reporting alignment while mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 2–3 years of progressive corporate and operations accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and the ability to apply accounting guidance to complex transactions.
• Advanced ERP, Microsoft Office, and Excel skills, including complex formulas, VLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting tools.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
