Airport Services - Maintenance Repair Technician I - Fort Lauderdale Int'l Airport - FLL (airport baggage and conveyor systems): Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining PLC-controlled baggage conveyors and related mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment with an accent on airport operations and equipment reliability. Focus on responding to maintenance calls, clearing bag jams, operating service equipment, and working safely on an airport ramp around aircraft and heavy equipment.

Location: Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL), Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States. On-site work on airport ramps and in baggage conveyor areas; availability for day or night shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.

What you will do

Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on PLC-controlled baggage conveyors and related equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including three-phase motors and control equipment.
Record accurate maintenance information and support data entry into the computerized maintenance management system.
Respond to maintenance calls, clear baggage jams, and support airport operations.
Drive and operate golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts, and other equipment.
Follow company safety programs and complete required training while working around aircraft, vehicles, and heavy equipment.

Requirements

Valid driver's license required.
Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Availability for day or night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least one year of maintenance operations experience preferred.
Ability to work outdoors, climb ladders, operate in confined spaces, and lift or move up to 49 pounds.

Nice to have

Industrial electrical experience with three-phase motors and 480V systems.
Intermediate knowledge of PLC control systems.
Mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair skills.
Experience with airport operations, Microsoft Word and Excel, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
