National Route Planner

Location: Bedford, United Kingdom; full-time office based

Salary: £33,925.00 per annum

What you will do

• Schedule cost-effective daily routes for collections, deliveries, and returns using PTV Route Optimiser.
• Manage routing across the national fleet of transporters and subcontractors.
• Review fleet productivity and improve route scheduling while controlling costs.
• Create daily and monthly reports covering performance, productivity, driver and subcontractor usage, and costs.
• Maintain routing software settings and achieve or exceed internal KPI and customer SLA targets.
• Work with subcontractors and yards to maintain appropriate performance levels and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Previous route planning experience using route-planning software.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to create meaningful Excel reports.
• Experience achieving or exceeding KPI targets and improving route scheduling.
• Good geographical knowledge and full proficiency with Excel and Microsoft packages.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Experience in the vehicle recovery industry.
• Experience using PTV or similar routing software in a multi-site operation.
