Application Engineering Specialist (Adhesives and Tapes)

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Center at least four days per week. Travel may include up to 25% domestic travel. Relocation assistance is not authorized. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Salary: $145,676–$178,049 annually, including base pay and variable incentive pay if eligible.

What you will do

• Drive core and new adhesive and tape products into industrial bonding applications.
• Develop application solutions aligned with customer needs.
• Build expertise in adhesive and tape dispensing technologies, equipment, and automation.
• Provide technical support and solve complex customer design challenges.
• Create application demonstration tools and technical information.
• Train customers, sales representatives, and international colleagues while collaborating with product development, engineering, marketing, and field sales.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of laboratory, technical, or applied science experience.
• At least one year of customer-facing, field support, product development, or technical service experience.
• Experience in problem-solving or troubleshooting.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship is required.
• Onsite attendance at the Maplewood, Minnesota location at least four days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, chemical engineering, or polymer science.
• Five years of experience working with tapes and/or adhesives.
• Two years of application engineering experience.
• Experience with adhesive and tape dispensing equipment or automation.
