Application Engineer III- PDC (Semiconductor)

Location: Chandler, AZ; travel required up to 10% of the time; relocation eligible

Salary: $108,000–$148,500 per year

What you will do

• Support customer applications for inspection, metrology, and process control technologies.
• Analyze process and defect data to identify yield improvement opportunities.
• Develop and optimize recipes, methodologies, and process control strategies.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot semiconductor manufacturing issues.
• Collaborate with customers, R&D, Product Engineering, and Field Service teams.
• Lead beta-site executions, customer evaluations, and demonstrations while managing statements of work and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in semiconductor process, yield, metrology, or applications engineering.
• Knowledge of SPC, DOE, yield analysis, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Nice to have

• Experience with inspection, metrology, SEM, or defect review systems.
• Knowledge of Advanced Process Control, data analytics, and Python.
• Experience supporting semiconductor fabs and customer-facing technical programs.
• Background as a Process, Yield, Metrology, Process Integration, Product, or Applications Engineer.
