Director, IMSC Decision Science (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Raritan or Titusville, New Jersey, or Horsham, Pennsylvania, United States; up to 20% domestic or international travel required.

Salary: $164,000–$282,900 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Lead the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain Decision Science function and define its vision, strategy, roadmap, governance, and capability development.
• Manage a team of more than 10 decision science managers and data scientists.
• Build and prioritize decision-intelligence capabilities across supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, quality, planning, and advanced therapy functions.
• Oversee the development and deployment of scalable digital products using optimization, simulation, digital twins, advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning.
• Establish model standards, reusable libraries, interoperable assets, model-management workflows, performance reviews, and technical governance.
• Develop talent strategy, coach data science professionals, and represent Johnson & Johnson in industry and academic forums.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain, analytics, data science, operations research, AI, or decision science.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end pharmaceutical supply-chain processes, preferably in pharmaceuticals, life sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
• Experience translating advanced analytics and AI into large-scale business outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of optimization, forecasting, simulation, machine learning, AI, and/or operations research, with excellent communication and strategic skills.
