Distribution and Logistics Optimization Associate Consultant (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia; New York, New York; or Bethesda, Maryland, United States. Work combines working from home with on-site presence at clients or hirify.global offices, and client-facing travel is required as needed.

What you will do

• Apply optimization, advanced analytics, and AI to logistics, warehouse, distribution, transportation, and merchandising functions.
• Develop operations research models using linear and integer programming, network optimization, heuristics, and simulation.
• Support warehouse planning, labor balancing, network optimization, transportation, distribution, assortment, inventory, and category management decisions.
• Translate operational data and model outputs into recommendations on cost, service, capacity, and productivity.
• Support technology and analytics implementations from requirements and solution design through testing, deployment, and adoption.
• Communicate analytical findings to technical and business stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field.
• At least 2.5 years of experience in decision analytics, operations research, optimization, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in optimization, analytical problem-solving, and working with complex data.
• Experience translating analysis into business recommendations and exposure to warehouse operations, warehouse design, labor planning, network optimization, transportation, or distribution.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills, a collaborative problem-solving approach, and a client-first mentality.
• Fluency in English and authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, distribution, merchandising, or category management.
• Experience supporting or owning a technology implementation from the client side.
• Exposure to AI/ML, predictive and prescriptive analytics, or agentic AI applications in operations.
