Location: South San Francisco, California, United States
Annual salary range outside South San Francisco: $182,465–$246,865. The South San Francisco salary range is posted separately.

What you will do
- Develop biomarker analysis plans supporting precision medicine, evidence generation, reverse translation, and clinical development of therapeutic molecules.
- Define and execute workflows integrating multi-omics, imaging, digital biomarkers, clinical metadata, and outcomes.
- Lead analysis and interpretation of clinical biomarker data from metabolomics, flow cytometry, immunoassays, imaging, transcriptomics, proteomics, and spatial omics platforms.
- Generate evidence for target engagement, patient stratification, response prediction, indication selection, assay development, and diagnostic development.
- Collaborate with clinical scientists, biostatisticians, clinical pharmacology, precision medicine, biomarker, and research teams on data integration and interpretation.
- Present analytical insights internally and externally and support scientific publications.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with 4 years of scientific experience, master's degree with 7 years, or bachelor's degree with 9 years of scientific experience.
- PhD-level background in bioinformatics, mathematics, computer science, computational biology, or data science, with a strong biology background.
- Hands-on experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI applied to clinical biomarker and efficacy data.
- Proficiency in R and Python, with practical knowledge of data manipulation and visualization.
- Expertise in large-scale, multimodal biological data and clinical biomarker platforms including pathomics, cytomics, mass spectrometry, NGS, and proteomics.
- Experience in a matrixed biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment, plus strong communication, leadership, organization, and project management skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with cardiovascular, obesity, chronic weight management, inflammatory, and other metabolic diseases.
- Familiarity with agentic frameworks and building agents for automatable day-to-day tasks.
