Director, Data Innovation & Strategy

Location: Fully remote; can be performed from anywhere. Occasional domestic travel of approximately 10% may be expected for team meetings or events.

What you will do

• Define and maintain Commercial data and innovation roadmaps aligned with business strategy across brands.
• Advise Commercial leadership on data innovation opportunities, risks, competitive differentiation, and investment priorities.
• Identify and prioritize advanced analytics use cases, build business cases, and establish KPIs and impact-tracking frameworks.
• Lead AI, automation, pilot, and proof-of-value initiatives from opportunity assessment through enterprise implementation and adoption.
• Partner with Brand, Marketing, Field Strategy & Operations, Commercial leadership, and IT Data Platforms teams to industrialize scalable and secure solutions.
• Drive stakeholder adoption, analytics literacy, change management, and responsible use of data, including model monitoring and bias detection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech Commercial analytics, data strategy, and advanced analytics roles, or equivalent education, training, and experience.
• Experience identifying and operationalizing data innovation and advanced analytics use cases in Commercial environments.
• Understanding of HCP, HCO, claims, payer, promotional, specialty pharmacy, and patient data domains.
• Experience leading AI initiatives, partnering with IT to deliver production-ready enterprise solutions, and building multi-year capability roadmaps.
• Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, executive communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional influence skills.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced quantitative degree.
• Rare disease, specialty, respiratory, launch, or specialty-market experience.
