Auto Damage Trainee (Field)

Location: Bakersfield, California, United States; not remote. The role covers the Bakersfield area and includes required hands-on training at facilities in Ashburn, Virginia and a field training center in New York, Texas, or California.

Annual salary: $30.53–$47.31. The posting notes that the final offered rate may depend on experience, education, training, location, and business considerations.

What you will do

• Inspect vehicles and assess damage after accidents.
• Review insurance contracts, write repair estimates, and negotiate equitable settlements.
• Consult with customers and other involved parties to resolve concerns.
• Coordinate with body shops, rental companies, and parts providers.
• Manage rental cars and support a positive claims experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Valid driver's license meeting company underwriting guidelines required.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-facing or high-volume call center experience with KPIs is preferred.
• An active adjuster's license is preferred; training and exam fees are provided.
