Outside Property Associate Claim Representative (Insurance)

Location: Field position serving the Allegheny County/Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area; the selected candidate must reside in the assigned territory. The role combines mobile work, work from the primary residence, work at residential and commercial locations, and work from the nearest hirify.global office. Catastrophe response deployments to other states may be required.

Annual base salary: $52,600–$86,800, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Complete a structured 9–12 month training program covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review, investigate, document, and evaluate first-party property claims under close supervision.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
• Interpret policy terms and determine coverage for building damage, leases, contracts, bylaws, and other relevant documents.
• Scope building and contents losses and prepare written or computer-assisted estimates.
• Communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders, maintain accurate claim records, and adapt to AI and digital tool implementations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, along with customer service or insurance experience.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain an active adjuster license where required by state law; required insurance licenses generally must be obtained within three months of starting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with willingness to learn claims management and estimating software.
• Ability to inspect structures, carry and set up a 38–49 pound ladder, walk on roofs, and enter tight spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
