Claims Appraiser - Auto Estimatics (Auto Insurance)

Location: Boise, Idaho; candidates must reside within a commutable distance of the territory. Remote-field work combines home-based virtual estimates with in-person appointments at body shops and customers' locations. Work outside the assigned territory, flexible shifts, overtime, and irregular hours may be required.

Salary: $63,089.65–$82,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops and customers and complete initial and supplemental estimates using photos or in-person inspections.
• Use automated estimating systems to prepare repair estimates.
• Evaluate vehicle damage, causation, photo documentation, bid content, market value, and reparability issues.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair matters.
• Communicate with customers and repair shops through inbound and outbound calls and guide insureds through the claims process.
• Deliver professional customer service when addressing concerns, including interactions with emotionally distressed parties.

Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, and/or auto insurance appraisal.
• Excellent customer service, critical thinking, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across technical platforms.
• Physical agility for stooping, bending, and lifting while evaluating vehicle damage.
• Valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of required training, applicable proficiency and licensing examinations, MVR checks, background checks, and possible pre-employment assessments.

Nice to have

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License.
• Knowledge of CCC One and/or Mitchell.
• I-CAR Platinum Certification.
