TL;DR

Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite in a manufacturing environment

Salary: NPI Buyer/Planner I: $33.97–$40.43 per hour; NPI Buyer/Planner II: $83,000–$100,200 per year; NPI Buyer/Planner III: $102,200–$121,700 per year.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets, including aircraft, satellite, missile, unmanned aerial system, and medical applications.

What you will do

  • Manage material requirements planning and component purchasing for New Product Introduction programs.
  • Coordinate priorities, schedule changes, supplier orders, delivery information, and shortage reporting with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Manage supplier relationships, quotes, purchase orders, cost reduction initiatives, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Own inventory action plans, replenishment systems, and inventory-turn objectives for NPI components.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, non-conforming materials, corrective actions, returns, rework, and ERP transactions.
  • Support product transitions from development to production, readiness reviews, NPI metrics, program documentation, and cross-functional improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Experience coordinating purchasing, material planning, suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and procurement quality activities.
  • Ability to manage NPI priorities, production readiness actions, supplier delivery, inventory, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Proficiency with ERP transactions and push- and pull-based replenishment systems.
  • Some assignments may require access to controlled data or information and consideration as a US Person under ITAR.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and use required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory background check; occasional customer travel may be required.
