Production Planner / Scheduler (Satellite Manufacturing)

Location: Burlingame, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $110,000–$145,000 per year, plus potential equity.

What you will do

• Manage the master production schedule and coordinate work-order releases for the satellite production facility.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Materials teams on capacity planning, material kitting, inventory staging, and production-plan execution.
• Track schedule changes, perform impact analysis and modelling, and resolve material, supplier, and production constraints.
• Monitor work-in-progress activities, including engineering change orders, nonconformance reports, and supplier-related issues.
• Participate in shop-floor production control meetings and operational reviews.
• Use MRP, MES, and other digital tools to coordinate planning across cells, teams, shifts, and sites while improving short- and long-term capacity planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• At least two years of experience in planning, production control, logistics, MRP, or inventory management in a rate-production facility.
• Strong proficiency with MRP/ERP systems, including production scheduling, capacity planning, and materials management.
• Advanced Excel skills for extracting, interpreting, modelling, and monitoring data from multiple systems.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems, with strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, satellite, defense, medical device, semiconductor, or other high-complexity manufacturing environments.
• APICS or ASCM certification.
