Production Planner (Manufacturing)

Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite manufacturing role

Salary: $82,500–$115,000 USD annually, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with manufacturing objectives.
• Create, maintain, and optimize daily schedules using ERP, MRP, or MES software.
• Build capacity plans and material availability plans to meet manufacturing demand.
• Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, engineering, and manufacturing teams to resolve constraints and bottlenecks.
• Monitor inventory and supplier status, adjusting production plans to mitigate shortages and delays.
• Interpret production metrics to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize throughput.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, supply chain, or operations planning within a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with ERP, MRP, or MES systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Epicor.
• Experience managing production schedules, capacity plans, and material availability plans.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work on the production line and lift 25 lb as needed.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management, business, or a related technical field.
• Experience in aerospace, robotics, electronics, semiconductor, or advanced hardware manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, NPI, production scale-up, demand forecasting, or S&OP.
• PMP certification.
