Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; on-site work in an aircraft production environment is required, with office or hybrid work also referenced.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot electrical design discrepancies to support uninterrupted aircraft production.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications, advising avionics technicians and quality inspectors.
  • Update drawings and product improvements using AutoCAD, Zuken, or CATIA.
  • Prepare engineering dispositions for non-conforming conditions during aircraft assembly and testing.
  • Participate in design reviews and advise remote design teams on production and testing requirements.
  • Analyze electrical and electronic systems, performance data, and measurements to identify problems and improve designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • 6+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related role.
  • Experience creating and interpreting wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and wire harness drawings.
  • Proficiency in electrical harness design and testing techniques and experience with CAD software.
  • Ability to work on-site in an aircraft production environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, or defense.
  • Knowledge of Military or FAA airworthiness standards and MIL-STD, MIL-SPEC, NAS, or SAE standards.
  • Experience designing aircraft signal interconnect and power systems.
  • Experience with digital PLM tools and aerospace manufacturing processes.
