Electrical Engineer I (Aerospace/SATCOM)

What you will do

• Perform individual electrical design projects for connectivity solutions under general supervision.
• Design and generate schematics, wiring diagrams, harness assemblies, and electrical engineering reports.
• Support avionics software-loading tests and troubleshoot installed electrical systems for conformity.
• Apply customer specifications, design proposals, regulations, and project requirements to engineering work.
• Track project status and significant issues while supporting quality objectives and safety procedures.
• Build knowledge of electrical engineering, mechanical assembly, and aerospace/SATCOM technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Entry-level profile with 0–2 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op terms.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other computer-aided design software; proficiency in AutoCAD is expected.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Standard English, including technical engineering vocabulary.
• Understanding of electrical engineering drawings, general engineering concepts, mechanical assembly principles, and FAA requirements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Satellite communications or aviation experience.
• Familiarity with RF, especially K, Ku, and Ka bands.
• Experience designing SATCOM, cabin network, or in-flight entertainment systems.
• Avionics and electrical troubleshooting experience.
