Area Manager Asset Protection - All DC/FC

Location: Onsite in Groveport, Ohio, United States

Annual salary: $65,500–$98,000, plus annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Walmart operates retail, supply chain, distribution, and fulfillment facilities, with this role supporting asset protection and facility operations.

What you will do

• Manage asset protection activities, investigate security breaches, theft, vandalism, loss, and shrinkage, and maintain related records and reports.
• Support environmental compliance, pollution-control evaluations, regulatory visits, audits, and environmental risk-management practices.
• Participate in OSHA, health, safety, food safety, and other regulatory inspections; monitor hazards, maintain first-aid supplies, and report accidents and violations.
• Conduct risk assessments, analyze documentation and incident data, lead investigations and root cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans.
• Ensure compliance with transportation laws and requirements, including DOT, FMCSA, PHMSA, vehicle maintenance, HazMat documentation, and accident reporting.
• Supervise and develop associates through hiring, training, mentoring, task assignment, recognition, and performance accountability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management, Criminal Justice, Security, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related field, or two years of experience in environmental health and safety, asset protection, or security within supply chain or retail.
• Knowledge of asset protection policies, environmental health and safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, risk management, and operational processes.
• Ability to conduct inspections, investigate incidents, analyze data and reports, and develop process-improvement controls.
• Ability to ensure compliance with transportation regulations and related documentation requirements.
• Successful completion of all required training and assessments.

Nice to have

• Associate Safety Professional, Loss Prevention Certification, Certified Security Professional, or other relevant certifications.
• At least two years of investigative or asset protection experience in retail or warehouse environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
