Risk & Claims Manager (Property Management/Multifamily)

Location: Primarily office-based with regular in-office presence at the Irving, TX Corporate Office; occasional travel to company communities and other business locations may be required.

Salary: $80,000 or more per year, depending on qualifications; performance-based bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Investigate property-related incidents, claims, accidents, and operational risk events.
• Conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective action recommendations.
• Assess recurring operational risks and implement loss prevention and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Coordinate claims tendering, documentation, tracking, communications, and reporting.
• Partner with Regional Managers, Community Managers, Maintenance teams, clients, insurance partners, and executive leadership.
• Monitor claims trends, corrective action completion, and the effectiveness of risk controls.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in multifamily property management, risk management, claims management, operations, or a related field.
• Experience investigating incidents, claims, or operational issues.
• Experience with risk assessment, loss prevention, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and claims documentation.
• Strong analytical, investigative, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally and influencing accountability without direct authority.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
