What you will do

• Support business units in achieving and maintaining audit readiness under applicable NERC Standards.
• Investigate potential compliance incidents by establishing facts, identifying root causes, and assessing impact and risk.
• Support mitigation plans by defining activities and milestones, drafting regulator-facing language, tracking progress, and reviewing completion evidence.
• Partner with business units to implement new and revised NERC Standards before their effective dates.
• Develop and review RSAW compliance narratives, evidence pull sheets, RFI responses, and level-two controls.
• Support audit engagements, presentations, training, and other compliance projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, communications, computer science, business, or a related field; or an associate's degree in one of these fields plus two years of relevant experience.
• Five years of experience in an electric utility or similarly regulated industry, in addition to any experience required for the education pathway.
• Ability to execute established compliance processes with minimal supervision and maintain accurate process documentation.
• Ability to assess compliance gaps, identify failure points, manage risk, and develop process improvements or controls.
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and gain stakeholder agreement on risk mitigation and process improvement.

Nice to have

• Developing expertise in NERC Standards.
• Experience managing risks or NERC Standards across multiple business units.
• Understanding of Regional Entity positions and NERC Standards risk perspectives.
