Senior EMS Modeling Engineer

What you will do

• Support EMS modeling and applications using the GE eTerraSource SCADA/EMS system.
• Perform network modeling for internal transmission areas.
• Build models and displays for Transmission Energy Management Systems using FG Display Builder and eTerraSource.
• Clean up SCADA databases, including removing ADMS points from transmission databases.
• Validate and rectify SCADA points and process update requests for breakers, reclosers, transmission lines, and related equipment.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of professional experience with GE eTerra, Alstom Grid, GE Habitat, and database modeling environments.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with GE FG Display Builder, GE eTerraSource, and TMS modeling and display building.
• Experience with SCADA communication protocols such as ICCP, DNP3.0, and Modbus.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Ability to pass a NERC CIP compliance background check.

Nice to have

• Experience with GE advanced applications such as RTNET and STNET.
• Computer programming or scripting familiarity.
• Power systems engineering experience.
