Engineering Tech Lead Senior

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid work with in-office attendance 1–2 days per week. Candidates must live within commuting distance of an hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex enterprise applications.
• Design, build, optimize, and troubleshoot Java-based microservices, REST APIs, and inter-service integrations.
• Convert monolithic applications to microservices-based architectures and define scalable, reliable technology directions.
• Build responsive, high-performance UI components with Angular or React and TypeScript, integrating them with secure backend services.
• Lead requirements gathering, technical design reviews, code reviews, change management, testing, and implementation planning.
• Coordinate on-call support, system monitoring, cross-team initiatives, and long-term technology strategy.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent background.
• 8–10 years of hands-on software engineering experience covering design, development, architecture, and technical leadership.
• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST, microservices, JPA/Hibernate, ORM frameworks, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Frontend development experience with Angular or React and TypeScript, plus Git, CI/CD pipelines, and core DevOps practices.
• Must be able to work in-office 1–2 days per week and reside within commuting distance of an office.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI/ML components, predictive models, automation tools, or generative AI into enterprise solutions.
• Experience with model inference pipelines, vector stores, AI-enabled microservices, APIs, or cloud AI services.
