Senior Engineering Manager, Treatments Platform (AI)

Location: Remote, USA; regular travel to the Menlo Park headquarters is required for planning workshops and team collaboration sessions.

Salary: $205,000–$235,000 annually.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow backend and full-stack engineering teams, including hiring, performance management, career development, and retention.
• Set engineering standards for scalable system architecture, design reviews, automated testing, observability, and production reliability.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, and clinical teams to shape requirements, roadmap priorities, workflows, and service quality.
• Use business impact and platform health metrics to drive prioritization.
• Partner with the Core AI team to integrate Generative AI and Predictive AI features into the treatment platform.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support additional engineering responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Strong backend experience with microservices, API design, SQL databases, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience architecting and operating production systems at scale, including observability, on-call, incident management, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work for any U.S. employer; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare or regulated environments, including HIPAA.
• Experience with or exposure to Generative AI and Predictive AI.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
