TL;DR
Forward Deployed Engineering Lead (AI/Fullstack): Building and leading a Forward Deployed Engineering team that designs and ships customer-specific AI systems with an accent on hands-on engineering, technical architecture, and customer collaboration. Focus on turning deployment insights into platform improvements, setting engineering standards, and solving complex distributed-systems problems across React, TypeScript, Golang, Rust, and LLM-based infrastructure.
Location: On-site in New York or Stockholm

What you will do
- Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Forward Deployed Engineer team in the assigned location.
- Work directly with customers to understand workflows, requirements, and complex technical problems.
- Design, prototype, implement, and ship solutions alongside the team.
- Own engagements end-to-end, from initial concept and architecture through delivery and iteration.
- Set technical standards through architecture decisions, code reviews, and hands-on engineering.
- Convert customer deployment insights into foundational platform improvements and contribute to product strategy.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience across software engineering, technical architecture, and customer-facing engineering.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams while remaining hands-on.
- Strong full-stack fundamentals across modern frontend and backend development.
- Strong architectural thinking and familiarity with distributed systems.
- Experience owning complex technical engagements from start to finish.
- Professional communication in English is required; applications must be submitted in English.
Nice to have
- Experience building a team or technical function from zero.
- Experience with agentic AI systems or production LLM applications.
- Experience leading zero-to-one product development.
- Background in founding or early-stage startup environments, high-growth startups, big tech, consulting, or enterprise AI.
