Aviation Crew Chief - Deployed (RQ-29 LEA)

Location: Deployed onsite at an OCONUS customer site; travel and deployment required 50–75% of the time with relatively short notice.

What you will do

• Oversee aircraft maintenance and flight line operations at a deployed OCONUS site.
• Enforce flight, ground, training, safety, and contract compliance procedures.
• Maintain aircraft logs, maintenance records, configurations, tool control, and technical documentation.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for operations and engineering teams.
• Manage COMSEC equipment, consumables, critical parts, tools, and Government Furnished Equipment.
• Conduct Technical Inspections and sign off completed maintenance work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED plus at least 3 years of flight line maintenance or UAS flight operations experience.
• US citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Group 3–5 UAS, air vehicle systems, subsystems, and aircraft technical manuals.
• Expertise troubleshooting airframe, powerplant, electrical, mechanical, and RF systems, including electrical testing tools and schematics.
• RQ-29 LEA Crew Chief qualification and experience in OCONUS deployed environments.
• Ability to pass deployment medical and dental evaluations and meet CENTCOM MOD 17 medical and psychological standards.

Nice to have

• Composite repair experience.
• FAA A&P certification or equivalent.
