TL;DR
Aircraft Inspector IV (Deployable) (Aerospace): Inspecting aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts to verify airworthiness and compliance with manufacturer specifications and government regulations, with an accent on complex inspections, audit processes, and deployed aviation operations. Focus on leading inspection protocols, resolving compliance issues, approving return to service, and mentoring junior inspectors during missions that may require extended OCONUS deployment.

Location: Clovis, New Mexico, United States. The role may require deployment for up to 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations, extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules.

What you will do

  • Lead and oversee complex aircraft inspections covering in-process and final inspections.
  • Inspect aircraft, systems, equipment, and parts for airworthiness and conformity with specifications and regulations.
  • Develop inspection protocols and maintain accurate documentation of findings.
  • Identify and resolve significant compliance issues and approve return to service for completed work.
  • Conduct periodic audits of maintenance processes.
  • Lead training and mentorship programs for junior inspectors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a higher-level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Active, current FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) designation.
  • Advanced knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, parts, and aviation inspection methods.
  • Experience applying product audit and inspection processes, procedures, tools, and equipment to determine airworthiness after maintenance.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance are required. Candidates without a current clearance may be processed for one before employment begins.
