Medical Assistant / LPN - Pediatrics Bedford - Full Time (Pediatrics): Supporting pediatric providers with patient examinations, diagnostic testing, specimen processing, medications, immunizations, and clinical documentation with an accent on age-specific measurements, screening, and point-of-care procedures. Focus on preparing patient visits, performing venipuncture and testing, processing prescription refills and prior authorizations, and maintaining clinical supplies.

Location: Bedford, New Hampshire, United States. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Prepare visit charts by organizing diagnostic results, urgent care reports, discharge summaries, and consultation records.
  • Room pediatric patients, document complaints, allergies, vital signs, medication histories, tobacco history, LMP, and health maintenance information.
  • Obtain and document age- and condition-specific measurements, including height, weight, head circumference, peak flow, and pulse oximetry.
  • Conduct hearing, vision, respiratory, ECG, depression, asthma, and point-of-care testing.
  • Collect and process specimens, perform venipuncture as needed, and administer medications and immunizations through appropriate routes.
  • Process prescription refills and prior authorizations while maintaining medication samples, supplies, labeling, and stock levels.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • For MA I: completion of an accredited medical assistant program, an MA training program with externship, relevant formal healthcare training, or one year of Medical Assistant experience.
  • For MA II: at least three years of Medical Assistant experience and a CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification.
  • Relevant healthcare experience is required; ambulatory clinical care experience is preferred.
  • BLS authorization must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintained throughout employment.
