Medical Assistant Certified - Merrimack Family Medicine, Tewksbury

Location: Merrimack Family Medicine, 600 Clark Road Suite 3, Tewksbury, Massachusetts 01876, United States. Full-time onsite schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., plus one rotating Saturday every other month from 8:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. May cover satellite locations.

Pay range: $23.00–$26.91 per hour.

What you will do

• Manage patient flow, room assignments, delays, and clinic resource utilization.
• Prepare patients, exam rooms, medical records, and clinical supplies for provider visits.
• Record vital signs, pain levels, medication information, and patient histories.
• Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, procedures, immunizations, and specimen collection.
• Perform point-of-care testing, equipment quality checks, and documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Support referrals, prior authorizations, diagnostic and surgical scheduling, billing documentation, inventory, and administrative communications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant national certification attestation from AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
• Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within three months.
• Less than two years of Medical Assistant experience; two years is preferred.
• Basic to moderate computer skills and ability to navigate electronic medical record systems.
• Ability to read, write, and spell in English for accurate documentation and message taking. Knowledge of EPIC and HIPAA requirements.

• Two years of Medical Assistant experience.
