Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Operations (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Penang, Malaysia; remote support as part of a business process outsourcing team

What you will do

• Support daily 300mm wafer-fab production targets, including cycle time, throughput, prototype success, and shipment plans.
• Manage centralized test wafers, including preparation, recycling, re-routing, downgrading, and automated delivery execution.
• Operate test-wafer recycling and FOUP cleaning tools, perform first-level preventive maintenance, and complete equipment setup.
• Manage WIP balancing, held and queued lots, equipment maintenance, capacity, and production constraints.
• Monitor EIM, auto-delivery, RTD, CIM, AMHS, and manufacturing systems while coordinating with manufacturing engineers and production control.
• Support standard operating procedure updates, post-fab coordination, and manufacturing reports.

Requirements

• Diploma in electrical, electronics, mechatronics, mechanical, microelectronics, or chemical process technology.
• At least one year of wafer-fab experience or experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• Systematic problem-solving skills and the ability to read and understand reports, flow diagrams, and charts.
• Ability to work physically fit for 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
• Adaptability to changing practices, procedures, and protocols, with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• High sense of urgency, commitment, self-motivation, and demonstrated leadership potential.
