Head of Security (AI)

What you will do

• Define and execute the company-wide security strategy, risk framework, and multiyear roadmap.
• Own security architecture across products, APIs, web-scale data pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and GPU infrastructure.
• Build and lead an exceptional security team while fostering a culture of shared security responsibility.
• Establish identity, access, and service-trust systems for human users, workloads, and AI agents.
• Represent the security program in strategic customer conversations, audits, and regulatory compliance programs like SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
• Manage incident response, crisis management, and corporate security operations.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in San Francisco (in-person role).
• Proven experience leading security at a rapidly growing infrastructure, AI, or developer-platform company.
• Ability to operate with company-wide accountability, balancing executive judgment with deep technical credibility.
• Experience building security into the product-development lifecycle, including threat modeling and automated controls.
