Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, Bay Area, United States

Target base salary: $200,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own the security posture of production and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, including hardening, network segmentation, and tenant isolation.
• Define runtime security coverage for Kubernetes environments from deployment through anomalous-activity detection.
• Partner with engineering on secure infrastructure architecture and production environment design.
• Manage cloud security posture end to end, including triage, prioritization, and remediation.
• Establish infrastructure security standards for baseline configurations, infrastructure-as-code, key and secrets management, and role-based production access.
• Feed infrastructure findings into vulnerability management and risk reporting.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in security engineering, with a deep focus on cloud and infrastructure security.
• Hands-on experience securing multi-cloud environments with AWS and Azure and container platforms with Kubernetes.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, and cloud identity and access management.
• Experience with CSPM and runtime security tooling, including prioritizing findings and driving remediation.
• Ability to independently own cloud infrastructure security direction and make cross-team tradeoffs.
• Experience working directly with engineers on architecture and remediation.

Nice to have

• Experience securing multi-tenant production systems or environments running customer workloads.
• Familiarity with Upwind or similar CSPM and runtime security platforms.
• Experience contributing infrastructure evidence to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 processes.
• Background in AI or ML platforms or distributed systems.
