Maintenance Technician B (Diesel and Heavy-Duty Equipment)

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA; onsite maintenance and occasional road service required.

What you will do

• Repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel trucks, refuse bodies, chassis, and related equipment.
• Service hydraulic, electrical, air-brake, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and light engine systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tire replacement and rotation, and tread-depth checks.
• Diagnose malfunctions using electronic tools and perform line-maintenance welding and fabrication.
• Provide safe road service when needed to return equipment to operation.
• Complete company training and support drivers operating the fleet.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a technician position diagnosing and repairing gasoline- and diesel-powered equipment, or graduation from an accredited automotive college or technical school within the next three months.
• Experience with or knowledge of Class 1–5 light/medium-duty and Class 7–8 heavy-duty trucks, aircraft, or ships.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform basic inspections with limited supervision.
• Working knowledge of systems such as suspension, steering, engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, hydraulics, drivetrain, and diesel emissions.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• ASE T1–T8 certifications and a commercial driver’s license are advantageous but not required.
