Electrical Engineer II - Liaison (Aerospace): Supporting the production, testing, and continuous improvement of electronic systems and payloads for specialized aircraft with an accent on electrical troubleshooting, wiring documentation, and airworthiness compliance. Focus on diagnosing assembly issues, incorporating CAD design changes, generating engineering dispositions, and advising production teams in an aircraft manufacturing environment.

Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States; on-site work in an aircraft production environment is required, with office or hybrid work possible for certain functions.

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot electrical design discrepancies to keep aircraft production lines operating.
  • Interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications, advising technicians and quality inspectors on design requirements.
  • Implement drawing changes and product improvements using AutoCAD, Zuken, CATIA, or similar CAD tools.
  • Generate engineering dispositions for non-conforming conditions during aircraft assembly and testing.
  • Participate in design reviews and advise remote design teams on production and test requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; a higher relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • At least 2 years of electrical engineering or related experience.
  • Experience creating and interpreting wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and wire harness drawings.
  • Proficiency in electrical harness design and testing techniques, as well as computer-aided design software.
  • Ability to work on-site in an aircraft production environment.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance are required.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace, aviation, or defense industry experience.
  • Knowledge of Military or FAA airworthiness standards, including EWIS requirements.
  • Experience applying MIL-STD, MIL-SPEC, NAS, SAE, or similar industry standards.
  • Experience with aircraft signal interconnect and power systems, PLM tools, and aerospace production processes.
