Fleet Maintenance Diesel Technician (Diesel)

Location: Cadiz, Ohio, United States

Pay: $29.14–$34.01 per hour, with demonstrated qualification or proficiency after hiring.

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair crude oil transport trucks, tankers, trailers, and other fleet equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including oil and air filter changes, power steering, suspension, PTO, brakes, wheel bearings, hubs, electrical systems, and related services.
• Maintain trailers and vehicle repairs in compliance with DOT requirements.
• Perform tire changes and coordinate emergency maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Coordinate outside repairs, annual tanker certifications, inspections, and required documentation.
• Maintain vehicle maintenance files and organize shop supplies, parts, oils, and lubricants.

Requirements

• Professional mechanic or technician experience with diesel engines and semi-trailers is preferred.
• Ability to perform routine and corrective maintenance on tractors and trailers, including braking, hydraulic, and air systems.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to prioritize work, operate efficiently with limited supervision, and collaborate with operations and staff personnel.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and oral and written communication skills.
