Fleet Mechanic

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair fleet vehicle chassis and specialized vehicle tank, pump, and spray systems.
• Repair tractors, forklifts, small engines, aerators, seeders, spreaders, and other specialized equipment.
• Perform scheduled and preventative maintenance and develop maintenance programs.
• Document repairs in an electronic maintenance management system and maintain service records.
• Manage parts inventory, work areas, outsourced maintenance, and the maintenance budget.
• Respond to vehicle and equipment breakdowns in the field as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–4 years of automotive mechanic experience.
• Ability to operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license.
• Fluent spoken, written, and reading English required.
• Computer skills with Microsoft Office applications and ability to interpret technical and safety documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong attention to detail, communication, organization, and time management skills.
