Senior Cost Analyst/SME

Location: On-site in Arlington, Virginia, United States

Salary: $120,000–$150,000 per year, depending on education and experience

What you will do

• Lead or facilitate teams developing detailed analyses of Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) reports.
• Develop requirements, use cases, data collection models, and templates.
• Conduct cost estimating and software cost research studies.
• Prepare white papers and document lessons learned across cost, software, and technical data collection topics.
• Engage with Department of Defense leadership to present sound analysis and represent the team effectively.
• Support team development and facilitate high-quality analysis.

Requirements

• 10 years of cost estimating and analysis experience supporting DoD, NRO, intelligence agency, NASA, or NOAA customers.
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, engineering, business, or the sciences; a master’s degree is desired.
• Strong knowledge of the DoD acquisition process, cost estimating relationships, cost methodologies, work breakdown structures, cost models, inflation, phasing, data normalization, and risk analysis.
• Experience with MS Excel required; experience with ACEIT, SEER-SEM, or Price is desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in teams.
• U.S. citizenship is required. A Secret security clearance is desired.

Nice to have

• Cost-estimating certification from ICEAA, DAWIA, or a comparable organization.
• Knowledge of MIL-STD-881F.
• Familiarity with database design and development.
• Familiarity with CSDR policies.
